The Case of Anna Ecklund: 23 Days of Hell
As soon as Anna arrived at the convent, she began to experience some extreme signs of possession. She could tell which food was blessed by the nuns, and refused to eat it, hissing and spitting like a feral cat. The possession was so intense, they say that Anna possessed some kind of superhuman strength and could run up walls and cling them without falling. She would then levitate. Witnesses eventually had to tether Anna down. Despite Anna being tied up in an iron bed for her own safety, Anna still had to be held down by six of the nuns, who could barely contain her strength. Emaciated and frail, refusing to eat, her body would sometimes become so heavy that the iron bars supporting her mattress would bend down and touch the floor. One of the most grotesque manifestations of Anna's possession was the terrible trials her body endured. Constantly vomiting foul substances, various parts of her body swelled, and those attending the poor woman would fear she would burst. During those periods of rites of exorcism being performed, Anna is said to have been completely unconscious with her lips still. Despite this, she is described shouting to the nuns, only reminding them of past sins they only could have known of. Having little education, Anna spoke fluently in German, Latin and English, blasphemying and cursing those around her. She also had the ability of foreseeing future events, including a car crash that involved Rev. Joseph Steigner, the priest of the church that was in the convent. Throughout these 23 days, the room where Anna lay was plagued with strange smells and flies, a true sign of Beezlebubs' presence. Indeed, one of the strangest occurrences was the vision of Father Reisinger that experienced both Lucifer and Beezlebub present in the room where the exorcism was being undertaken. Showing their rage and anger towards Father Reisinger. This displayed hope for Father Reisinger that soon he may meet with success. Eventually after 23 days, good triumphed over evil. The demons were expelled out of Anna Ecklund, who awoke and was lucid, eventually thanking Jesus for her delivery. But we can't know what mark had on her after. What we do know is that the nuns who helped this poor woman during her confinement, were transferred within the year to the other convents. Resulting in a very traumatised and ghastly experience. Rev. Joseph Steiger's witness testimony was recorded in "Begone satan" as of that and his housekeeper who also witnessed and experienced these events. Both Rev. Steiger and his housekeeper go into detail of how they witnessed was the explusion of demons from a troubled soul. Due to the successful exorcism, Anna returned months later to the convent where she was healed to give thanks to those who helped her, but disappeared after that year. As of now, Anna's whereabouts are unknown. Due to the horrific events, this has been turned into a movie, describing the horrifying possession of Anna Ecklund that would later be called "The Exorcism of Anna Ecklund" released in the year of 2016.
